Valentine Dinner

Broiled Lobster tails:

2 frozen lobster tails, thawed
1 T garlic, minced
1/2 cup butter
1 T olive oil
2 wooden skewers

Preheat broiler. Use kitchen shears to cut through the top shell of the lobster. Slice down the middle of the lobster tails down about a 1/2 inch. Skewer each tail so that it won't curl during cooking. In a saute pan melt butter and saute the garlic. Add olive oil. Brush the lobster with garlic butter and place on pan. Cook for 10-15 minutes until the lobster is opaque and cooked through. serve with remaing garlic butter.

  1. we had lobster tails today too--when you say broil, does that mean at 500 or how high do you set your oven and how close to the heat? We left our tails in the shell and they didn't cook all the way through, so any tips will be appreciated!

  2. I turned my oven on the broil setting and left them in the shell, I basted them with garlic butter at first and half way through. I placed them about 6 inches from the top, on the first notch of my ove, they cooked for about 12 minutes and they were perfect!!
